Learn about DVR Systems, aka Camera Systems. Learn how to play back recorded footage on your high definition camera system.

Follow these steps to learn how to play back the recorded footage:

First right-click to bring up the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Click on the menu button.

You will be prompted to enter your username and password.

Type in your username and password.

Then you want to press Okay.

The main menu will pop up after successfully entering your username and password.

Next you want to click on playback and then click on normal.

This will bring you to your playback menu.

Now you want to select the camera that you want to playback.

You will see at the bottom where there is a calendar. The DVR that you have will only record a certain amount of days depending on what size of hard drive that you have. In this example, the event I’m trying to look at happened today. Some of my calendar days are blue. Blue means that I have recorded footage on that day. If the calendar day is white then it means that incident happened to far back and the hard drive has already dumped the footage. If you want more calendar days out of your DVR, then you can add a bigger hard drive. So if your DVR is only holding a week and you need two weeks, then please call us and we can make a suggestion on the size of hard drive you’ll need.

So now select the day

Along the bottom the is a time bar and it is in military time.

Once you find the time, press play.

It is now playing the footage that I recorded.

Once you play your footage back, be sure to make note of what camera it was on and what time the event occurred. That will come in handy in the next video post, which is how to save that footage onto a USB drive.

The footage on this DVR will eventually go away. So if you have an event that you need to show the authorities, then you will need to save it onto a USB drive. I’ll be posting a video shortly next week on how to do just that.

That is how you playback footage on a High Definition DVR.

Once you’ve viewed everything, you just right-click.

This takes you back to your live menu.

So basically your going to the menu, selecting the camera that you want to view and then selecting the date and time when you believe the incident occurred. If you don’t know the exact time like I did, then there are options to fast forward in playback menu until you find the incident.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us and we would be happy to assist you.
